Excursión de medio día por Barcelona que le permitirá descubrir la historia de la ciudad mientras visita algunos de los lugares más importantes de una manera cómoda y fácil. La primera parte de la visita consiste en un tour guiado a pie por las calles pequeñas y estrechas del Barrio Gótico, la parte más antigua de la ciudad. Durante esta visita, verá Las Ramblas, la Plaza de la Catedral, La Catedral, el Antiguo Barrio Judío, entre otros lugares interesantes. Se le dará tiempo libre para visitar la Catedral por su cuenta. Más tarde tomarán el autobús para comenzar con un tour panorámico por el resto de la ciudad. Pasarán por el elegante Passeig de Gràcia, donde se encuentran dos de los edificios más importantes de Gaudí (Casa Batlló y Casa Milà “La Pedrera”), el Arco del Triunfo, la Villa Olímpica y el Puerto Olímpico. En la siguiente parte de la visita se accede a la Montaña de Montjuic. Este es un lugar importante porque fue el escenario principal de los Juegos Olímpicos en 1992. Verán el estadio olímpico desde el autobús y luego tendrán la oportunidad de disfrutar de las vistas panorámicas de la ciudad en el tranvía aéreo (sujeto a las condiciones climáticas). La siguiente parada es la visita al Castillo de Montjuïc. Sus orígenes se remontan a 1640, siendo la fortaleza más antigua de la ciudad. Durante los siglos ha sido una torre de vigilancia, un calabozo, un centro de ejecución y, sobre todo, un punto de vista ideal para saber qué está pasando. Hoy en día, ofrece un paisaje incomparable, una imagen panorámica de 360º de Barcelona. Recorra el agitado pasado de Barcelona y disfrute de las vistas más privilegiadas de la ciudad. Al final, de regreso al autobús, de regreso al centro de la ciudad pasarán por la plaza Espanya, donde podrá admirar las mágicas fuentes, las torres gemelas venecianas, el MNAC y el centro comercial Las Arenas, construido en un antigua plaza de toros. Llegada a la plaza Catalunya y terminando el tour frente al Hard Rock Café, a solo cinco minutos a pie de la oficina de Julià Travel.

The first stop is Holy Island, connected to the mainland by a causeway which leads into the quaint island village of Lindisfarne, where there are stunning views of Lindisfarne Castle* (dating back to 1550). Spend time wandering through the ruins of its Priory* where the magnificent Lindisfarne Gospels were produced, sample some of the world-famous Lindisfarne ‘Mead’ brewed by Monks on the island, and enjoy the tranquility for which the island is renowned.  Then continue south by the pretty coastal village of Bamburgh, “Ancient Capital of Northumbria,” overlooked by its imposing castle, then on to the bustling market town of Alnwick, whose greatest building is the medieval Alnwick Castle*. Enjoy time in the town centre or visit the castle complex where there is something for everyone. Home of the Percy Family for over 700 years, Alnwick Castle is considered one of the finest castles in England and is proudly known as “The Windsor of the North”. Visitors can step into the unexpected in the spectacular Alnwick Garden* with its Grand Cascade fountain and Poison Gardens. The castle grounds were also used in the Harry Potter films. In the mid-afternoon we begin the drive north to cross the River Tweed and back into Scotland at the historic border town of Coldstream. If time permits during this journey there will be a stop at Flodden Field, one of the best preserved battlefields in Northern Europe and scene of the infamous battle of 1513, which ended in victory for the English and the death of James IV, King of Scots.  *OPTIONAL EXTRA. Lugar de salida: El antiguo puerto de Fira. Solo se puede acceder al puerto en: En teleférico: es perfectamente seguro, consta de 6 vagones y tiene capacidad para 6 personas por vagón. Durante la temporada alta (abril-octubre) sale cada 20 minutos. Las entradas individuales cuestan 5 € para adultos y 2,50 € para niños. A pie: tendrá que caminar por los famosos 600 escalones de la carretera tradicional que conecta el puerto viejo con la ciudad de Fira. El descenso demora entre 20 y 30 minutos, dependiendo de su condición física. En burro: los burros solían ser el medio de transporte tradicional de la isla. Suben y bajan con frecuencia al antiguo puerto de Fira. Un solo viaje cuesta alrededor de 5 € por persona y dura unos 20 minutos. La mayoría de la gente prefiere subir al burro.
