Red and White Fleet - Golden Gate Bay Cruise Departing in the heart of Historic Fisherman’s Wharf, at Pier 43 ½, sail past the San Francisco skyline and view the lively neighborhood of North Beach, the famous swimming clubs of Aquatic Park, the historic vessels at Hyde Street Pier, the San Francisco Maritime National Park, and numerous other exciting sights. As you head west towards the Golden Gate Bridge, cruise along Fort Mason and the Marina District which was devastated in the 1989 earthquake. With Angel Island State Park to your left, slowly cruise around the infamous Island of Alcatraz. On your way back to Fisherman’s Wharf, see the San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge, and Coit Tower in the distance. After a full hour of exciting sights on Red and White Fleet’s Golden Gate Bridge boat tours, the barking sea lions at Pier 39 welcome you back to Pier 43 ½. Your return train ticket from Paris-Caen is NOT included.  You should aim to arrive at Caen railway station by 09:00 on weekdays, 10:00 on Saturdays and 11:00 Sundays **. You will be picked up by your guide from your arrival at the MAINLINE RAILWAY STATION in Caen:  Please note that your guide will be waiting in the main hall of the Caen Railway Station.Follow the signs ‘SORTIE Place de la Gare’ to go to the main hall. Your guide will be near the ‘Point de Rencontre’ sign and will have a board marked Memorial de Caen.   You will be dropped off at the station at around 18:30 from October to March and at around 19:30 from April to September to connect with trains back to Paris.   Practical information: please wear appropriate shoes and clothes. It can be windy along the beaches and temperatures can be cool even during the summer.   Sunday D-DAY TOUR information: Please note that from 28th January to 31st March and 1st October to 31st December, on Sundays the guided visit of the Memorial de Caen Museum will last 30 minutes. This is due to the fact that on Sundays during this period, the earliest train from Paris arrives at Caen around 11:00 and the departure of the guided tour of the D-DAY landing sites is at 13:00. Downtown Tour Enjoy an entirely guided one hour tour of San Francisco's most famous sites on an original open top Double Decker Bus in the San Francisco Downtown area, with unlimited hop on and off privileges up to 24 hours from first use.
