The Butterfly Conservatory (October 7th, 2017 - May 29th, 2019) This exhibition, an annual favorite, features up to 500 live, free-flying tropical butterflies from the Americas, Africa, and Asia. The butterflies are housed in a vivarium that approximates their natural habitat, includes live flowering plants that serve as nectar sources, and features controlled artificial light, temperature, and humidity. T. rex: The Ultimate Predator: (March 11, 2019 - June 16th, 2019) This exhibition will focus on the on the genus of dinosaurs known as tyrannosaurs. The exhibition will explore how these mega-predators came to be, with an emphasis on the most famous and impressive member of the family, Tyrannosaurus rex. What to Expect: Check-in: You will be greeted by our friendly staff who will help you to book flights and answer any questions. You will then be asked to fill out a waiver and will be introduced to your flight instructor. Briefing/Training: The flight instructor will instruct you about the process of the flight, as well as the rules and safety standards. You will be shown flying postures to acquire during the flight. A quick video will be played to first time flyers in addition to the training from the instructor. Gear Up: The flight instructor will give the you all the flying gear necessary and show you how to properly use it. Flight: At the beginning, the flight instructor will help you to get adjusted to the wind flow. When you are accustomed to it, the instructor will help you safely fly in the wind stream. If you can fly well, the instructor will rise with you in the air up to 10 feet in height. Both the wind tunnel security features and the flight instructor will keep you safe. You cannot fly if you have severe joint injuries or fractures, have injuries restricting the movement of your back or other places, are pregnant, have epilepsy, are under the influence of alcohol and / or drugs. iFLY welcome flyers from 3 to 103. If you have reasonable health and fitness you can fly. But do check the criteria below before you purchase tickets. There are a few exceptions: Flyers must be over 3 years of age. Participants must weigh less than 300 pounds. Participants who weigh between 260 and 300 pounds must bring this to the attention of an iFLY representative as additional restrictions and instructor scheduling limitations may apply. Women who are pregnant should not fly. TANDEM SKYDIVE Your cruise to altitude will give you breathtaking scenes over the Grand Canyon, the jump door will be opened and you get to the moment when its your turn to jump out attached to your experienced USPA qualified instructor. You will exit the aircraft at jump altitude, and feel the wind in your face as your instructor stabilizes your free fall, the canopy opens and you can take the time to enjoy the surreal experience of the flight swooping back down to earth. At Paragon we offer you the chance to pull your own tandem parachute and fly it, all with the safety of your tandem instructor behind you. You will be given training on the ground on the procedures of pulling the parachute and steering methods before taking to the sky to experience this thrill. Please note that you will be attached to your tandem instructor the entire time and flying the parachute is only possible for a portion of your flight, the USPA qualified tandem instructors will take over to complete the descent and landing and may need to take over due to weather conditions and any other unforeseen circumstances. LANGUAGES: English and Spanish The tour begins at 09:00 am from the center of Bilbao to Vitoria go directly toward the highway. The tour shows the mountain scenery until reaching the plateau with its forests of oak and beech. Arriving in Vitoria embark on a panoramic city tour through the entire modern urban design. Then stop in the Old Quarter of the city to visit and have free time to walk its streets, its old town, or a coffee in one of its many bars. From here, we go through different towns in Alava until finally arriving at Laguardia and Labastida, famous people of the Rioja Alavesa by a Historic Monument and also its magnificent wineries. We have time to walk its medieval streets, stately houses and two fortified churches. Free time for lunch at one of its typical restaurants, and our guide will offer details of restaurants and menus chosen. In addition, visiting a winery to taste their wines. Direct return to Bilbao by highway and return to your hotel mid-afternoon.
