In der Nase Aromen von reifen roten und schwarzen Beeren besonders Erdbeeren , Kirschen und feine blumige Anklänge, die sehr harmonisch mit den würzigen Noten der Reife im Eichenholz, wie Kaffee, Tabak und Vanille verschmelzen Geschmack: am Gaumen saftig, vollmundig mit aromatischer pflaumiger Frucht, Noten von dunklem Backkakao und samtweich gereiftem Tannin, das dem Wein die mollig sanfte Textur und ein langes, elegantes, seidiges Finale verleiht. Passt zu: Lammschulter oder Rinderschmorbraten mit Kräutern, Wildgeflügel, Maispoularde, Putenbraten aus dem Ofen mit Beerenkompott oder Maronen, Pasta mit Waldpilzen oder auch zu Gerichten der orientalischen Küche.
