DC UNIVERSE:THE EXHIBIT This interactive exhibit pays homage to the origins of DC Comics, including original comic books featuring all seven Super Heroes of the Justice League. Studio Tour guests will be able to play three of WB Games' most popular DC games: Batman: Arkham Knight, Injustice: Gods Among Us, and Lego Batman. Additionally, guests will be able to explore authentic props and costumes from "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" and an exclusive sneak peek at David Ayer's upcoming "Suicide Squad" on a rotating basis. Highlights of the interactive experience include the original Belle Reve prison cell set once occupied by Harley Quinn (portrayed on-screen by Margot Robbie) in “Suicide Squad,” as well as the Bat lab in the Batcave from Ben Affleck’s first outing as Batman in “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" Guests will have the opportunity to interact with Kryptonite, Superman’s sole weakness and see striking Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman costumes.The authentic costumes of Lois, Clark, Alfred, and Bruce Wayne, original Bat Lab in the Bat Cave set pieces, and much more will also be on display. THE HARRY POTTER EXHIBIT Reveal the magic of the celebrated HARRY POTTER film series when you visit the Archive.  For a limited time, you’ll see many of the costumes and props that appeared in all eight blockbuster movies. Here is where you see how Hollywood is made. Our knowledgeable tour guides will happily answer all of your production-related questions—and reveal even more of Hollywood’s best-kept secrets—during this 45-minute, self-guided experience at one of the best things to do in Los Angeles. FROM SCREENWRITING AND CASTING, TO AUDIO MIXING AND THE GLORY OF AWARDS SEASON, GUESTS WILL ENJOY A TRULY IMMERSIVE LOOK AT HOW THE MAGIC OF HOLLYWOOD IS MADE. PRE-PRODUCTION Before the first camera rolls, the writing and casting phase must be picture perfect. Our pre-production soundstage brings these key components into focus. Here, you can build your very own Batmobile at one of our interactive design stations and shift your creativity into overdrive! As you experience one of the best attractions in LA, you’ll gain insight into the craft of costume design from the talented artists behind the wardrobes featured in Sweeney Todd and Man of Steel. Plus, our interactive design stations let you design your own costume with styles inspired by the fabrics, headpieces and gowns seen in Camelot, Sweeney Todd and The Great Gatsby. Our pre-production experience also includes a high-definition touch screen casting table where you can view the authentic headshots and audition reels from some of your favorite actors like Oscar® winner Leonardo DiCaprio, the cast of The Vampire Diaries, and more! PRODUCTION In production, you’ll learn firsthand how actors and directors make the unforgettable scenes that keep you glued to your seat. Our production soundstage features the authentic Central Perk set from the hit TV show Friends where you can record a real screen test and reenact scenes from one of the funniest episodes. Fans of The Lord of the Rings films visiting the Los Angeles can return to Middle-earth and be a part of the mind-bending special effect known as ‘forced perspective filming’, as seen in The Fellowship of the Ring. Don’t forget to take plenty of pictures! Our production soundstage also includes the famous Malibu beach house set from Two and a Half Men, the authentic Russian Soyuz capsule from the 2013 science fiction thriller Gravity, and much more.  POST-PRODUCTION The final finishing touches that turn a director’s vision into reality are added in post-production. Join in the movie making magic yourself by riding the Nimbus 2000 or Firebolt brooms seen in the Harry Potter film series or ride the Bat-pod through the streets of Gotham in our green screen experience just like the actors do while filming. We’ll also reveal the secrets behind the visual effect known as ‘motion capture.’ You’ll also see how green screen technology was used to create the celestial, deep space visuals in Gravity and the thrilling fight sequences in The Matrix. Our post-production soundstage includes a fully equipped, state-of-the-art recording studio. Once inside, you’ll learn how speech, sound effects and music are all added to film by examining the soundtrack from Gravity, which won Oscars® for Sound Editing and Sound Mixing. THE WARNER BROS. LEGACY ROOM The Warner Bros. Legacy Room is a striking visual testament to the passion, creativity and determination of the studio’s four founding brothers—Albert, Jack, Sam and Harry Warner. Along with a towering collection of awards the studio has earned, the room features many iconic costumes and props from some of the biggest movies and television shows in entertainment history. VISIT THE NEW ENGLAND AQUARIUM Tentacles Take Hold NEW! Get ready to be wrapped up in Tentacles! Look for the giant Pacific octopus in its newly expanded habitat brimming with species found in the chilly depths of the Pacific Northwest. Eye the cuttlefish levitating in its tropical tank while the chambered nautilus jets through its inky dark display. From petite red octopuses to graceful seajellies, dive into the dazzling diversity of these mysterious ocean animals as Tentacles take hold at the New England Aquarium! ​ GIANT OCEAN TANK Enjoy 360-degree views of spectacular, four-story Caribbean coral reef teeming with more animals than ever before. In 2013, the iconic Giant Ocean Tank underwent a top-to-bottom, 21st century transformation, including windows that provide crystal-clear viewing opportunities: a vibrant, revitalized coral reef with more than 1, 000 fishes: and the Yawkey Coral Reef Center at the top fo the exhibit. The colorful Caribbean coral reef is home to sea turtles, eels and hundreds of tropical fishes of all sizes. SEALS AND SEA LIONS AT PLAY AT THE NEW BALANCE FOUNDATION MARINE MAMMAL CENTER The seals and sea lions are always at play. Watch ​ California sea lions​ ​ dart through the water and limber Northern fur seals​ ​ frolic in this beautiful open­air exhibit space, and find out about the challenges marine mammals face in the wild! ​ THE LARGEST SHARK AND RAY TOUCH TANK ON THE EAST COAST The Trust Family Foundation Shark and Ray Touch Tank features sharks and rays in a mangroved - themed tank surrounded by shallow edges and viewing windows, allowing visitors to experience a close encounter with these animals. Visitors to this exhibit can reach out and gently touch the backs of cownose rays. Atlantic rays and sharks as they swim gracefully through the crystal-clear water. The exhibit presents these incredible species in a way that highlights their importance in a healthy ocean ecosystem. It also emphasizes the valued of conserving essential coastal habitats, such as mangroves and lagoons. ATLANTIC HARBOR SEALS Visitors can enjoy the Atlantic harbor seals in their exhibit on the Aquarium plaza before buying admission tickets. Watch the seals swim, play and rest. Learn more about them and see some expert behaviors as they work with trainers during free training sessions throughout the day. BLUE PLANET ACTION CENTER This exhibit is part of the Aquarium’s recent top­-to-bottom, 21st century transformation. The exhibit area presents the serious challenges facing the oceans and showcases the Aquarium's global leadership in searching for solutions with a combination of interactive displays, interpretive presentations and small live animal exhibits. FEATURED EXHIBITS Science of Sharks Dive deep into the Science of Sharks with the newest exhibit at the New England Aquarium. Get up close to some small but mighty shark species from around the world. Hands-on activities illuminate the remarkable adaptations that give them an edge in the water, while the shark and ray touch tank lets you see — and feel! — these adaptations in action. The New England Aquarium is the place to find out why these magnificent ocean predators are even more incredibly cool than you thought. Whale Watch Book front-row seats to view the ocean’s most fascinating and magnificent animals. The New England Aquarium Whale Watch conveniently departs from Central Wharf.
