Der Wein erscheint mit einem schimmernden Granatrot. Sein Bukett öffnet sich mit Noten von roter Johannisbeere sowie Himbeere. Begleitet werden diese Fruchtnoten von einer Spur Zimt und auch Chili. Am Gaumen ist er sehr voll und elegant mit angenehm kräftigen Tanninen und einer mineralsichen Note. Passt zu: geschmortem Rind oder gerilltem Lamm.

Der Wein überzeugt durch seinen Aromen von roten Beeren, reifen Pflaumen und Gewürzen. Am Gaumen präsentiert er sich dicht, füllig und doch mit erstaunlicher Frische und einer gut ausbalancierten Struktur. Die reifen, eleganten Tannine und die vielschichtigen Aromen nach getrockneten Kräutern, roten Beeren und Tabak ergeben einen modern interpretierten, trotzdem unverwechselbar portugiesischen Wein.
