On this tour from Salou you can enjoy a trip to Montroig wher you can visit some notable buildings including the beautiful church of Sant Miguel de Montroig built in Gothic and Renaissance style between 1574 and 1610 and the famous ' Our Lady of the Rock' High above the town on a very eroded outcrop of rock stands the sanctuary of ' Our lady of the Rock' with the Sant Ramon Chapel. The sanctuary is perched on a spectacular cliff, formed by red rock and founded in 1299 to house a wooden statue of the Virgin Mary that was venerated there. You can see the ruins of the castle and the dates of 1655 and 1785 are inscribed on the entrance gate, showing that the site was made bigger as it became more popular as a pilgrimage site. It was destroyed in 1811 by Napoleons troops and rebuilt only to be destroyed again in the Spanish Civil War. It was rebuilt again by the people of Montroig and the reproduced the ancient statue of the Virgin Mary but, misfortune struck again and the statue was stolen in 1979. Made again in 1980, it is still worshipped in the church today. So much history in an ancient village for you to visit and enjoy on this 3 hour excursion and on your return to your hotel you will receive a bottle of wine too.

Explore the haunted Blair Street Underground Vaults with access no other tour company can offer, then head to the Canongate graveyard, where the spirits of the dead await. It might be something to do with the change in temperature. Or the perpetual darkness. Or the ever smaller rooms, stretching beyond the weak beam of a torch. Whatever the reason, there’s something unsettling about the Blair Street Underground Vaults – and your expert Mercat guide will reveal the troubling tales on this evening walking tour. Cannibals. Body snatchers. Deals with the Devil. And that’s before we head underground. Torture. Murder. Hangings. And that’s just what went on in the vaults. A walk along dim streets to the Canongate graveyard will bring you to the resting place of the city’s most famous figures: Adam Smith, the father of economics; David Rizzio, the lover of Mary Queen of Scots; and James Douglas, 3rd Marquess of Queensberry – the infamous cannibal of the Canongate.

This City Pass is the best opportunity to visit places connected with Jewish heritage. You may extend the exploration of World War II's history and places connected with Jewish history with a Museum card. Visit Oscar Schindler’s Factory - the museum tells the story of the factory owner who was the inspiration for Steven Spielberg's hit movie, 'Schindler's List'. Compare your knowledge of the history of World War II with the reality of everyday life in Nazi-occupied Cracow, and the personal dramas of its citizens. Nearby, at the Ghetto Heroes Square, you can visit the famous 'Eagle Pharmacy' with an exhibition commemorating the Holocaust of Cracow’s Jews. The last place you can visit with our Museum card is Pomorska Street where, during World War II, the Gestapo's headquarters and prison were located. These three points on the map of Cracow are the three complementary stories about the war and the time that came after the war and the key to the full picture of the tragic history. ADDITIONAL COMMENTS: to get a student discount students must have a student ID card during the tour and show it to the DiscoverCracow representative when asked.
