You will love this feature packed and amazing value shock absorbing walking stick/pole that doubles as a photo / video mono-pod.Its standard 1/4 inch screw fits 99% of cameras and camcorders.Using as a walking pole, you can get better support over long walks, hiking, trekking, up or down hills and over rough terrain. A tightly sprung mechanism with up to 5cm of "give" will soften impact with hard surfaces. Some customers buy 2 for extra comfort. The super-tough ABS handle offers a comfortable grip and features a useful extension for downhill walking..As well as a tough metal ground spike, a regular rubber foot is already fitted and safely covers the ground spike. There's also a 3.8cm diameter circular mud foot for soft or wet soil, a 8.4cm diameter snow disc and a curved rubber paw-foot for improved motion when walking.Using as a monopod, you can better hold steady your camera or video camera – useful for telephoto or longer exposure work. The camera head can be unlocked, pivoted over and relocked with the collar. Unlike other monopods, you can use your camera in the vertical/portrait position and the horizontal/landscape position. To use as a monopod unscrew the compass unit and expose the standard fit 1/4 inch tripod screw. Specifications 3 section tubular extending leg with Securi-Locks manufactured from high-grade and lightweight aluminium. Closed height 71cm Fully extended: 141cm tip to tip Weight: 410g Leg profile/diameters: 13, 16 and 19mm respectively. Lock/unlock by turning the leg Ergonomic ABS impact resistant handle for positive grip Standard camera mounting 1/4 inch screw A foam grip/handle under walking-handle is provided for when the unit is used as a monopod Built-in (1.5cm wide) adjustable wrist strap for extra support Shock absorbing system 2 mode camera head: use camera/ camcorder in landscape or portrait mode Max recommended equipment weight: 3 kilos Choice of 5 feet: Metal ground spike, regular rubber foot/cover, mud foot, snow-disc & rubber pawUser NotesExtend the leg by turning the leg anti-clockwise. Pull the leg to extend but try not to pull too far. On each leg there is a clearly marked "stop" to advise of its maximum recommended extension length. To then lock the leg, turn clockwise but please do not over-tighten. Once fully extended the largest diameter leg features a height guide for reference. If you do pull the leg out of the unit it can be reinserted, but try to avoid doing it.This clever locking and unlocking mechanism works like most others on the market so its not a design fault. Just be careful when extending the legs and you'll be fine we promise. We are aware that the compass is not particularly accurate and we would suggest that you do not depend on its accuracy, but it looks nice and does act as a protective cover for the tripod screw.
